1. The condenser is located under the refrigerator. The Refrigerator include temperature controller should be placed in a well ventilated location. The condenser should be cleaned regularly to maintain good performance and to save energy. Frost build up will occur easily if the refrigerator has been used continuously for a long time. It is best if it is cleaned once a week to maintain the best performance.

2. If there are not many items stored in the refrigerator, a bottle of salty water placed in the refrigerator will help to balance the temp difference inside the fridge. This will extend the compressor’s life.

3. Clean the condenser once per week to maintain the best performance.

4. If it’s an open display cabinet, protect the cabinet from air flows from fans and air-conditioners. Keep the doors shut after business hours.

5. Use the better temperature controller.

Firstly, the temperature controller is the key item for improving energy savings. Set the temperature regulator switch to “4” in Summer and “1” in Winter. This will decrease the compressor’s restart time in order to save energy. Refrigerators should be placed in a well ventilated and cool location. Keep it away from heaters or stoves. Keep an adequate space place above the refrigerator and on both sides for heat dissipation.
Secondary, it’s better not to open the fridge too often. Hot food should be cooled to room temperature before putting into containers and stored in the refrigerator. It’s best to use preserving bags to hold food before freezing in order that the fridge can achieve its best performance.
Thirdly, it’s better to make ice for drinks at night time. During the night the temperature is lower so the refrigerator can utilize heat dissipation of the condenser. Also the refrigerator is not used that frequently during this time. Compressor working time is thus shorter and this saves energy.
Lastly, items placed in the refrigerator should not be too crowded and adequate space should be maintained for the circulation of the cold air. The best is to keep the storage at no more than 80% of capacity.
